The Directory for Queen's Park |
|
The Queen's Park Directory is a unique guide to our local area because of the way it is researched and compiled. The listings are supplied by resident's themselves, which means that the products and services listed have satisfied customers living locally.
We published our first Local Directory in book form for the Queen's Park area in 1991 and have continued with a new edition every 18 months or so. Working with Queen's Park Area Resident's Association we collected hundreds of suggestions for local products and services. By selling limited advertising space we were able to print 3,000 copies that were delivered free to all household s in the area by the residents themselves. At the same time membership forms were included leading to a increase in membership subscriptions for the Association. We soon realised that the format was of interest to other local community groups and by 2008 we have eleven printed editions covering over 40,000 households in NW2, NW6 and NW10. The unique local feel has proved to be very popular with users and local advertisers. For many local service businesses, from gardening to computer services, complementary medicine to home tutoring, the directories are the perfect advertising medium. Now we have put our whole Queen's Park database on this website and update it monthly. To find out how you can be included our directories, with a listing or an advertisement, follow the links on this page. The Queen's Park Directory exists thanks to the dozens of local advertisers who have chosen to support us; please return the favour and support these businesses and individuals. The professional task of assembling the information and advertisers and producing 5,000 finished books is undertaken by Queen's-Park based marketing consultancy MarketSpark at no cost to the Association. |
